Mission

The Natural Energies Advanced Technologies Laboratory's mission is to pursue environmentally and culturally responsible design through the use of appropriate technologies.

The NEAT Lab promotes research that integrates natural phenomena and local resources and traditions into the design and operation of buildings; education in the basic interrelationships that exist among humans, buildings, and the environment; and outreach through actual projects the enhance the quality of life by way of using appropriate technologies.
